Brian Gurski is an independent management consultant with extensive experience in strategic planning, change management and capacity building in the public, private and social sectors nationwide. Most recently, he was a Senior Consultant for Acceleration Group, New York, NY a boutique consulting firm he co-founded in 2011. With Acceleration Group he led engagements for small to large-scale organizations in industries including community and economic development, small business and M/WBE development, workforce development, higher education, healthcare, human services and global development. Brian teaches Strategic Design & Management at Parsons The New School for Design as well as co-trains financial counselors on financial literacy, business development, leadership and empowerment to support their work with the poor and working poor at nonprofits, community colleges and municipal institutions nationwide. Brian is former Regional Director of a New York State Small Business Development Center where he helped launch the national pilot of Goldman Sachs’ 10,000 Small Businesses Initiative.
Brian holds an MBA with a double-major in Finance and International Business from the Zicklin School of Business at CUNY’s Baruch College, an advanced certification in emerging markets analysis from Fordham University, a bachelor’s degree from Lewis & Clark College, and executive training in value innovation from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Aresty Institute of Executive Education. Brian has been associated with DUROBI LLC since 2008.
